More death and lies in Iraq

The quagmire, known as the Occupation of Iraq, just keeps taking a bigger and bigger toll on Americans who are there. Nick Berg is only the latest, albeit the most horrifying, to pay the ultimate price for this Mother of all Mistakes!

He along with the Halliburton employee that was kidnapped and released, were over there looking for the kind of good-paying jobs that are no longer available in this country. Mr. Hamill, the KBR employee, was forced into truck driving after his dairy failed in President Bush's "rebounding" economy. Then when he couldn't make enough money here, he went to Iraq....talk about OUTSOURCING...where he was kidnapped. He was able to make a daring escape...Nick Berg was not so lucky.

American's need to realize that the Bush Administration has been lying to them from the getgo. Mr. Bush had the world at his feet after 9/11...including ME. Allies and some non-allies were ready to join him in this world wide fight against terrorists. But then the lies kicked in and he wasted precious political capital.

"You are with us, or against us," he said. He failed to mention that the statement might not apply if you were say....Saudi Arabia. He started sentences with "9/11" and ended them with "Saddam Hussein and Iraq" so many times, that as late as November of 2003, 65% of the American public believed that Saddam masterminded the attacks on New York and Washington, AND that the hijackers were all Iraqis!

In late 2002, when a majority of the American people were not buying the WMD argument for going to war, Karl Rove successfully, over a weekend, changed the argument from WHY we should go to war, to HOW we were going to do it! AND to make matters WORSE, this "liberal" press we always here about from the neo-cons, fell right into line.

Somewhere in there, instead of being called "OPERATION: GET THOSE DAMNED WMD'S OUT OF THE HANDS OF SADDAM AND HIS MADMEN", it became "OPERATION: IRAQI FREEDOM"!! And NO ONE, questioned when we signed on to FREE IRAQI'S.

America...get your collective heads into the game BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!
